The Harare Children’s Hospital Trust was established in 2013 to raise funds to support Sally Mugabe Children’s Hospital and Neonatal Unit. Its objectives are to re-equip and refurbish the hospital and to continually improve the quality of healthcare delivery. Our goal is to develop the Children’s Hospital into a regional centre of paediatric excellence.
The Trust was formalized through a Deed of Trust and the founding trustees were drawn from the medical, legal, financial and corporate sectors. The Trust has an MOU with Harare Central Hospital and works closely with the hospital administration to identify critical needs and funding priorities to guide our fund-raising efforts.
Since its establishment the Trust has raised over US$1.5 million from local and international donors and well-wishers. All funds donated to the Trust are utilized on projects to improve the quality of healthcare delivery at the hospital and not a cent of donations is for administrative costs.
Your support is critical to ensuring children receive the care they need. If you have any questions about the Trust and its work or want to get involved, please contact us.
