Our Welfare Sub-Committee, made up of volunteers’ works to address the psychological, emotional and social needs of the children and their parents. These are needs, which are often overlooked in busy and understaffed hospitals. Admission to hospital, especially when it involves forced separa-tion from parents, is an extremely traumatic experience for any child. The volunteers have worked hard to make the Children’s Hospital a more welcoming and friendly place.
